1. Send your request
Choose a video or telephone consultation on our appointment page, give us your contact details and pay the £199 fee securely by card. You'll get a reference number starting PC-. Please keep it.
2. We arrange a time
We'll email you, usually within one working day, to offer appointment times. If we think a remote consultation isn't right for you, for example because you need to be seen in person urgently, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
3. Before the appointment
We may ask you to send letters, ECGs or test results you already have. It helps to keep a note of your symptoms. Our preparation checklist and printable symptom diary explain what to gather.
4. Your consultation
A consultant cardiologist will call you, or join the video call, at the agreed time. The appointment usually lasts around 20 to 30 minutes. We'll go through:
- what your palpitations feel like, when they happen and how long they last
- other symptoms, such as dizziness, breathlessness or chest pain
- your medical history, medicines and family history
- any ECGs, monitor results or smartwatch recordings you have
We'll explain the likely cause in plain language and agree a plan with you.
5. Tests, if you need them
Many people need no further tests. If you do, we may recommend heart rhythm monitoring, such as an ambulatory ECG (Holter) monitor, or other tests. We'll explain the options, where they can be done and the cost before anything is arranged.
6. Your letter
After the consultation you'll receive a letter summarising the assessment, the likely diagnosis and the plan. With your consent, we'll send a copy to your GP so your records stay up to date and any treatment can be continued.
Fees and cancellations
